How to use a massage gun for tennis elbow

Estimated read time 2 minutes.

Tennis Elbow is a condition that causes pain around the outside of the elbow. The clinical term is known as lateral epicondylitis and the symptoms often are prominent after overuse or a repeated action of the muscles within the forearm, near the elbow joint.

Here we explain how to use the MuscleGun Carbon massage gun for Tennis Elbow symptoms and help alleviate the associated pain.

How to treat tennis elbow with the MuscleGun Carbon

Firstly, we recommend using the Ball Attachment and starting your treatment using speed setting two – you can increase this accordingly throughout your treatment to suit your desired intensity preference.

To start your treatment routine, we recommend rotating your arm with your palm facing towards you, then apply your MuscleGun device to the crease of your elbow joint, gently floating it on the skins surface, applying pressure as required then moving your MuscleGun in a downward motion towards the bottom of the wrist then back up to the crease of your elbow – repeat this motion for around 2 – 3 minutes.

We then advise rotating your arm, with your palm facing downwards and repeating the same motion, starting again by applying your device just above the elbow and moving downwards towards the bottom of your wrist - ensuring you are applying your MuscleGun across the entire of your forearm muscles whilst rotating the hand and applying the device to the bottom and top of the wrist.

The result of this treatment should now be an increased range of motion and noticeable reduction in pain.

Remember, we always advise that you consult with your doctor or physician before using a MuscleGun when suffering from any underlying medical issues.
